VIRTUAL NATURE SCHOOL
We have both completed a 6 week course through Virtual Nature School (provided by ScotGov). This training has been enjoyable for us and the children and we now plan to continue using this open ended inquiry based outdoor learning on a daily basis.
ROBERT
Robert is currently studying towards a childcare certificate which encompasses the following:
- Allergen Awareness
- Autism Awareness
- Handling Information in a Care Setting
- Infection Control
- Introduction to the Safe Handling of Medicines
- Learning Disability Awareness
- Level 2 Food Safety / Catering
- Safeguarding Children.
CHERYL
Cheryl completes training on a regular basis, which involves a mix of attending courses both in person, or online, and also learning from new initiatives from ScotGov/Care Inspectorate. She also keeps abreast of childcare changes by accessing reading material from various sources including the Care Inspectorate and Scottish Childminding Association.
